Lapham Park – Milwaukee Housing Authority

Owned by the City of Milwaukee Housing Authority, this 8 story brick building opened in 1964. Shelf Angles, normally located at floor lines, were suspended two feet below to act as both a lintel and Shelf Angle which lead to premature failure of the flashing.

Masonry Restoration, Inc. was tasked with removing roughly 7,000 Lineal feet of deteriorated structural steel and relocating it back to the floor lines, adding in lintels and stainless steel flashing to the entire building along with new control joints – all while the building was fully occupied.
