One of the oldest structures in Menomonee Falls, These two Lime Kilns are all that remain after routine maintenance proved to be too costly for the third structure that was removed in the 70’s.
Hoping to save the other two, MRI was tasked with complete tuckpointing of both kilns, Facade Cleaning and extensive rebuilding of the lannon stone and load bearing brick arches on two elevations.
We began with a detailed inspection. Technicians executed Facade Inspection, Historic Preservation, Masonry Rebuilding, Stone & Terra Cotta Restoration, Structural Steel Repair, Tuckpointing / Repointing to resolve issues related to material wear and exposure. These repairs helped ensure consistent exterior performance.
With weakened areas restored, the building envelope now performs more consistently under environmental stress.
