One of Masonry Restoration, Inc.’s larger projects was the Capitol Centre at 333 W. Dayton Street in Madison, WI. This 17-story building had significant leaks and flaws in the original flashing system. MRI was engaged to perform complete shelf angle replacements, extensive repairs and replacement of the backup walls, full sealant replacement, and reconstruction of the upper two floors due to significant bowing of the masonry walls all while the building remained fully occupied. Despite the project’s complexity and multi-year scope, it was completed under budget and two months ahead of schedule.
We began with a detailed inspection. Our team performed: Building Envelope Repair, Structural Steel Repair, Masonry Rebuilding, Sealant Replacement, carried out to correct deterioration across affected areas. This process supported a more resilient and predictable exterior system.
These repairs helped extend the buildings service life and enhance the stability of key exterior elements.
